Experience the thrill of open water by boat. Loring-Restoule is a region of water, from lakes and rivers, to creeks & wetlands we have many scenic miles for you to explore. The iconic Pickerel River system connects a large system of lakes into a 40 mile water cruising experience. Commanda Lake, Stormy Lake and many other inland lakes also provide recreational boating opportunities.
Springtime is the Argyle Fish Hatchery Poker Run, this yearly event attracts many who like to get out on the water and support the Walleye Restocking Program. Cards can be purchased locally and are signed by participating camps & business along the Pickerel River System.
If you are in it for the fishing, waterskiing, or just enjoy being out on the water, there are many opportunities to rent boats from your smaller 15’ fishing boats, to pontoon and bass boats. For those boating enthusiasts who own their own watercraft, there are public launches throughout the region, as well as groomed private launches and docking for those staying at our Resorts and Lodges. Some resorts offer seasonal launch/docking privileges.
